Independence is a key goal of the National Disability Insurance Schemen (NDIS). Understanding how culture interacts with how independence is defined and what it looks like is critical to achieving person centred outcomes.

He has worked tirelessly for 20 years to become a well known and respected disability advocate. He served as a NSW Government Living Life My Way champion from 2013-2016 and received National Australia Day Council Australian of the Year awards in 2012 and 2014 for his community service. He is currently on the boards of Diversity Disability Alliance, Council for Intellectual Disability and the Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association and he is an NDIS champion.
In 2017 Quang started his own business, The Quang Nguyen Network with support from Think Act Achieve and SSI IgniteAbility .
